About Bloxham School
Bloxham School, also called All Saints’ School, is an independent co-educational day and boarding school of the British public school tradition, located in the village of Bloxham, three miles (5 km) from the town of Banbury in Oxfordshire, England. The present school was founded in 1860 by Philip Reginald Egerton and has since become a member of the Woodard Corporation. The current headmaster is Paul Sanderson, who took over from Mark Allbrook in 2013. The school has approximately 515 pupils.[1]
Founded as a school of the Oxford Movement, Bloxham is a member of the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference.

For 2021 Entry into Bloxham School year 7 will use the ISEB Pre-test.
Registration Deadlines & Examination Dates
The ISEB Pre-test can be taken Friday 9th October 2020 at either the candidates school or at Bloxham School.
In addition to the ISEB test, an assessment will be conducted in November as part of the admission process. Candidates will have an interview about English, maths and verbal reasoning with a staff.
About the ISEB Common Pre-test
The tests take about two-and-a-half hours to complete (English 25 minutes, mathematics 50 minutes, non-verbal reasoning 32 minutes, verbal reasoning 36 minutes) and can be taken together or at separate times, either in the candidate’s own school or at the senior school for which he or she is entered
ISEB Pre-Test Format:
The test is taken on a computer and consists of multiple-choice questions. It is broken down into four parts:
- English – 25 minutes(reading comprehension, sentence completion, spelling and punctuation)
- Mathematics – 50 minutes(in line with Year 5 of the UK National Curriculum)
- Non-Verbal Reasoning – 32 minutes(shape analogies, classes like, horizontal codes)
- Verbal Reasoning – 36 minutes(common words, antonyms, word combinations, letter transfer and number codes)
